Rohtang Pass is found in Himachal Pradesh in north India and it is one of the popular spots to visits and include in trekking plan when visiting Manali. There are often many vehicles and movement can be very slow, that is why it is recommended to start from Manali very early in the morning. You can get to the pass by taxi or bus of Himachal Pradesh Tourist Development Center. Bus is cheaper than taxi, but it doest take you directly to the action zone so in that case you will need to hire another transportation. Taxi will cost around 2000 rupees a car, depends on type and capacity. Bus costs around 300 rupees per person.

What to see on the way from Manali to Rohatang Pass

You can plan to stop by at Nehru Kund, 5 km from Manali or at Gulaba, commonly known as “Snow Point”, 20 km from Manali. This place is where snow holds on the way to Rohatang Pass and there are many stalls and shops with their products. Snow point actually moves during the year as it is dependent on level of snow. Visitors may enjoy snow activities in summer that is why this spot became very popular. There are also Rahla Falls in scenic environment or Kothi where people can enjoy amazing views as River Beas flow through gorge.
